Montero NA Futsal League Elementary School Winter 2025/2026
We’re excited to announce the return of the Montero NA Futsal League for its second successful year! This program offers our Elementary School players an excellent opportunity to improve their soccer skills while representing their elementary school.
Age Brackets:
Grades 1-2: EPL (fun name)
Grades 3-5: La Liga (fun name)
All skill levels are welcome
League Format:
Each NA elementary school will form teams based on age brackets and the number of kids signing up (EPL & La Liga) from their school. EPL and La Liga (fun names) teams will have their separate league to ensure safety and competitiveness. Teams will compete in a round-robin format, facing off against other schools such as Franklin vs. Marshall. After the regular season, two rounds of playoffs will determine the champions. All you have to do is register your son, as I will be creating the teams.
Coaching:
All sessions will be led by NA’s varsity coach Manuel Montero, with support from NA’s varsity soccer players and the NA boy’s coaching staff.
Practice Details:
Fridays, (5:30-8:30 PM range)
NAI (Lower and Upper Gym)
Each session will include:
Technical warm-up
Decision-making activities with the ball
20-25 minute scrimmage
Focus: Technical skills, motor development, and introduction to decision-making.
Game Days:
Sundays, (4-7 PM range)
NASH (Baierl Center activity room)
18-minute halves.
5-6 regular-season games and 2 playoff rounds.
Each team will have an assigned coach, emphasizing technical growth and decision-making.
League Structure:
Teams earn 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 for a loss.
Points will determine the seeding.
Knockout-style playoffs to determine the winner.
Consolation games
Trophies and medals will be awarded to the champions.
Two Winter Leagues:
Session 1: December 5, 2025 – January 18, 2026
Session 2: January 23, 2026 – February 22, 2026
Winter Break: December 24, 2025 – January 4, 2026 (no session)
Players can sign up for one or both leagues. Scores reset for League 2, so a new champion could be crowned!
Registration Details:
Cost per League: $160 (includes 5 practices, 5 games, and 2 playoff games)
Each session begins with a technical warm-up, followed by decision-making activities with the ball. In the final 30 minutes, players will participate in 5v5 games to showcase their skills, improve speed of play, 1v1 abilities, and learn how to create overloads.
