Technical Training Session

Montero Soccer Ball Mastery is a high-quality technical training program for boys and girls who want to build more confidence, control, and creativity on the ball.

Held at Marshall Elementary School Upper Field (grass), these sessions focus on one of the most important parts of player development: ball mastery. In soccer, every action starts with a player’s relationship to the ball. Players who can control the ball cleanly under pressure become more confident in 1v1 situations, make better decisions, keep possession more effectively, and play faster with purpose. Strong ball mastery creates the technical foundation for dribbling, turning, receiving, shielding, and attacking with confidence.

Coaching Staff

This program is led by Manuel Montero, North Allegheny Boys Varsity Head Coach, with support from North Allegheny soccer coaching staff and varsity players from both the boys and girls programs. Together, they create a professional, positive, and challenging environment centered on quality instruction, attention to detail, and long-term player development.

Session Format

Each session includes:

  • 45–55 minutes of ball mastery work
  • 20–30 minutes of scrimmaging
